Thanks for this post. Reposted this entry to show conditions 7 days prior to Sheffy and I hiking Stratton Bald. We never realized there was a bypass trail and hiked over the top with about a foot of snow with it raining and snowing on us all day.

We also had a number of falls in the snow that day and each had a small injury. My knee landed on a rock and Sheffy slammed his shin the next day.
